I'm an architect based in the West Midlands, UK. I live with my family in a self-build labour of love called home4self - a slightly idiosyncratic experiment in architecture, construction and materials that won a few awards, although the neighbours probably still don't know what to make of it.
You can contact me via rob@annable.co.uk or find me in the usual places, such as twitter and instagram.
At Axis Design Architects we specialise in homes and community-based projects and have played a role in improving social housing, public consultation and environmental design in the region since the 1980s.
As a visiting tutor to the Birmingham School of Architecture, I have taught across the undergraduate and postgraduate program and I'm currently assisting with Level 4 and 6 design studios.
I grew up during the birth of the Personal Computer, the launch of the Space Shuttle and creation of the WWW so my personal interests outside architecture tend to have a science, technology and computing bias.
I'm currently engaged in reading and discussion around the space industry, interested in particular in the future of space habitation, closed-loop systems and materials science.
Plus some other stuff.
